Although there is a section where a beat has a central role, the sounds of this experimental release has an very abstract approach which is primarily based on ambient, drone and noise music. In this one-off project the objective was to create shapes of soundscapes that are not tangible but enjoyable. To avoid unpleasant surprises for the listener, all harsh noise elements has been carefully balanced in the mix. I really can’t remember the exact title of the speech in the background of the third part but the voice is the one of Malcolm X. Apex is the first (and to date the last) album by Memodrone.
