Frank Baker - Analogy To The Roots Of Trees

Originally inspired by the Voynich Manuscript (which is an illustrated codex hand-written in an unknown writing system), this EP is an exploration of sonic space. The tracks contain different stylistics (acoustic, singer-songwriter, post-rock, ambient and sample based music) as well as various audio sources (vinyl samples, field recordings such as nature sounds and church bells).
From the musical evolution point of view, the record is the last path of acoustic-oriented developments within the Frank Baker cosmos. Analogy To The Roots Of Trees is the third EP by Frank Baker.

Written, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered between October 2015 and September 2016 by Frank Baker at various places in Germany.

Ambient guitar on “Artesia” and “Atlasia” recorded by Chris Corrado (theatlasamp.bandcamp.com) in Ulm, Germany. Pedal guitar on “Artesia” recorded by Nuno Tavares (gryflet.bandcamp.com) in Taunton, UK. Vocals by Kate Dilemma. Flutes by Alan Parker. Bass guitar recorded by Mitch Crown in Munich, Germany.
